20 percent off Priority Pass lounge network membership

Global airport lounge network Priority Pass is offering 20 percent off membership -- and that's a good deal if you're a frequent international traveller.

There's $20 off the Standard membership (now $79 plus $27 per visit), $50 off the Standard Plus level (now $199 for ten visits, then $27 per visit) and $80 off the Prestige card (now $319 for unlimited visits).

Priority Pass isn't great value for domestic travellers and those heading across the Tasman. The only Australia/New Zealand lounges are in Melbourne (the United Club in the international terminal, only open from 10am-1pm), Cairns (the Reef lounge in the international terminal) and Wellington (the Corporate Box).

But internationally, it opens doors to a decent range of airline lounges -- over 600, according to the company.

Of course, frequent flyers or passengers in business class will have access through their high-status card or boarding pass.

But it's often useful to have other options in case the lounge your own airline (or airline alliance) has run out of wine, provides awful wifi or is crammed full of road warriors.

It's also useful if you're just starting off as an international frequent flyer and haven't accumulated the status credits to bump you up to Gold or Platinum tiers that grant access privileges.

The discount is run in conjunction with Priority Pass' sponsorship of the Freddie awards, organised by US frequent flyer point guru Randy Petersen.

To take advantage of the deal, head on over to the special signup page on Priority Pass' site.

Another top deal running at the moment is free membership to the Qantas Frequent Flyer scheme, saving you $82.50 on the sign-up fee -- click here for full details.
