A day in the life of a Cathay Pacific pilot

A day in the life of a Cathay Pacific pilot

We often like to end the working week with a story plucked from the lighter side of the business travel world.

Cathay Pacific has obliged with this 'behind the scenes' look into a day in the life of CX pilot Richard Clausen, Senior First Officer on Cathay's Airbus fleet, as he prepares for a flight from Hong Kong to Dubai.

It also reveals his life-long love for flying, which began by building model planes with his father and clipping articles from aviation magazines bought by his mother.

And if you missed the previous installment in Cathay's 'day in the life' series, here's CX flight attendant Grace Hui, who travels on the CX111 red-eye from Hong Kong to Sydney.

If you're travelling this weekend, have a safe flight – and we'll see you next week with more news for business travellers and frequent flyers! You can also catch us on Twitter – we're @AusBT.
