Air Australia heading to China, Vietnam

IN BRIEF | Air Australia is poised to begin flights to China and Vietnam in June 2012.

Australia's new low-cost carrier carrier has slated thrice-weekly services from Melbourne and Brisbane to Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City, pending regulatory approval, says travel trade publication Travel Weekly.

Formerly known as Strategic Air, the fledgling airline with the boomerang logo and lime-gold livery will run the flights on Airbus A330s with a business class cabin.

These will be the recliner-style seats from the old days of business class (and many international carrier's 'regional business class' of today) rather than the more familiar lie-flat seats or fully flat beds.
