Cathay Pacific launches mobile boarding passes

IN BRIEF | Cathay Pacific has begun rolling out mobile boarding pass technology, with travellers on flights from Hong Kong and Auckland now able to receive a digital boarding pass on their phone during on-line checkin.

The mobile boarding pass displays as an email or SMS message on smartphones and conventional mobile phones,

The pass also includes an invitation to the relevant Cathay Pacific lounge if you're eligible (based on either your class of travel or frequent flyer status with CX or a oneworld partner airline).

Cathay says the mobile boarding pass service will be progressively introduced across the airline's network.

Further information, including an FAQ and instructions on using the system, can be found at www.cathaypacific.com/mobile_boarding_pass.
