Cathay Pacific launches Boston flights: one stop journey from Perth, Adelaide

Cathay Pacific is set to add Boston to its raft of North American destinations from the middle of next year, which will give Perth and Adelaide residents a new one-stop option to the USA east coast.
The direct Hong Kong-Boston flights kick off on May 2 2015, served by a Boeing 777-300ER with 6 suites in first class, 53 beds in business class, plus 34 premium economy and 182 economy seats.
CX812 pushes back in Hong Kong at 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, to reach Boston’s Logan International Airport at 9:30pm that evening.
On the return, CX811 is wheels up at 1:45 am on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from May 3, landing at Hong Kong at 5:35am the following morning.
Passengers from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth can connect onwards to Boston from CX110, CX134, CX174 and CX136, respectively, with these flights arriving in the hours before CX812 departs.
Brisbane’s CX156 flight arrives at 7:45am, so travellers from the Sunshine State can either explore the many lounges at Hong Kong Airport or jump on the Airport Express and enjoy the day in Hong Kong.
On the return, CX811 connects well with CX139 to Sydney, CX163 to Melbourne, CX157 to Brisbane from Hong Kong, with longer waits for travellers to Perth and Adelaide.
These one-stop routes are now listed on the Cathay Pacific Australia website, but show as 'full' as they haven't yet been released for sale:
A Cathay Pacific spokesperson confirmed to Australian Business Traveller that these flights will be unlocked at 7pm AEST this evening.
Boston is Cathay Pacific’s sixth destination in the United States, having added Newark to its network map in March 2014 – which lies just across the Hudson River from the heaving heart of New York.
The Hong Kong flag carrier also flies to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York (JFK) and San Francisco.
