China Southern boosts Perth-Guangzhou Boeing 787 flights

Perth residents are in for more Dreamliner Delight with China Southern ramping up its non-stop Guangzhou flights from four to five times each week from October 25.

On Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, CZ320 is wheels-up in Perth at 8:30am, touching down at 4:30pm in China – while on Tuesdays and Fridays it switches to an overnight service: leaving Perth at 11:40pm to reach Guangzhou at 7:40am the next morning.

Returning home, CZ319 departs Guangzhou at 10pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, landing in Perth at 6am the following day. On Tuesdays and Fridays, that inverts to a 2pm departure and a 10pm arrival in Perth.

Aboard the Boeing 787 Dreamliner are four suites in first class, all with direct aisle access…

… 24 fully-flat beds in business class in a 2-2-2 layout…

… and 200 seats in economy in a 3-3-3 configuration.

Perth passengers can reach cities such as London, Los Angeles and Paris with a one-stop journey via Guangzhou, with the airline's extra Boeing 787 flights now for sale via its website:

China Southern will also return its Airbus A380s to Sydney across the 2015/16 Australian summer.

Has anyone flown China Southern (incl. code share with Air France) to Europe? If so, how was the experience (compared to other Europe bound airlines)?

I've never flown them, but I know a few people that have flown to the USA and UK via CAN, and they all had mixed bags.  I'm sure that the A380s and 787s are fine, but the A330 product, at least in economy, is highly variable such as some A330s not having seat back entertainment, 'poor' English-speaking skills and the like...

Beware of China Southern. I know of two friends flying from China to Australia via Guangzhou, and had bags lost in Guangzhou. The airline did not seem to care about finding the bags and they were never found. the airline only offered USD20/kg in compensation and perhaps this was not enough insentive to care about finding the bags. Customer service is poor when dealing with call centres both in China and Australia, they did not care about helping passengers.
