I'm flying London to New York in the middle of next year - I'm going to use points and fly in J. What do people recommend out of these option (all pretty good i think!) (i) BA London City service on A318; (ii) BA 787 (iii) AA 777 in the new J.

AA in the new J......
Thanks guys... this is a real first world dilemma. Can't believe how high the taxes and charges are on these trans atlantic flights, between 250-350 pound. Crazy
Do you need to fly direct? Route via a European city to avoid the UK "luxury tax". At the same time, I believe if you redeem an AA flight you don't get slapped with a fuel surcharge the way you do with BA.

Are you sure about that advice? How many flights a week does Qantas fly from London to NYC?
Haha I know meant more on the point seat allocation. Lets face it we are lucky they still fly from Sydney to Melbourne at times.
Good advice re departing from a european port. Thanks.
