Has anyone used SkyLux to book cheap J & F flights? (http://www.skyluxtravel.com).

At the prices they're selling for, I'd assume they don't attract any FF points or SCs - Does anyone have any experience?

Avoid them and all similar websites. They are front shops to points trading that are in breach of the FF terms and conditions of the airlines. You'll risk the cancellation of your flights, full loss of the money paid, not to mention encouraging an activity that is shady to say the least.

Hmmm.... AusBT has been advertising them on the web site though?

The advertising on AusBT isn't strictly controlled by AusBT.

I believe they're using Google's ad platform which displays ads based on keywords on the article/page/site together with information Google has gathered by tracking metrics such as what other sites you visit.

AusBT is in no way affiliated with them.

I believe you get some very interesting ads when visiting AusBT from Dubai. :)

Oh interesting! I wasn't aware of the disconnect. It's quite a high-risk advertising model AusBT's taken.

I'm disgusted to learn of this. ABT should control advertising on its site - the appearance of ABT endorsement is being given.  Very poor.

Here here!

I'm not sure its good enough to say we're using Google's platform and therefor have no control.

Granted I do not have sufficient knowledge of the process or agreement with Google but this arrangement does not feel right.

Do we take a stand or roll over?

I say!

A decision was made to to use the Google platform and and relinguish all rights.I say make a stand.

Just to be clear, I said 'I believe they are...' which doesn't actually mean that Google is really the platform being used. However, all online ad platforms work in a similar way.

"The appearance of ABT endorsement is being given". Are you serious? On AusBT today I am seeing ads for Qantas, Virgin Australia, the ANZ bank, Nokia and some design furniture mob. And you think this means that AusBT endorses every one of those? Get real!

Check out this question asked about AFG last year and the answers of people who signed up just to give "possitive" reviews. All seems very dodgy.

Man, that thread is both hilarious and heartbreaking.

Serg handled it brilliantly.

Hey Watson

Yeah I stubbled across it last week (don't remember how) and it almost made me laugh-out-loud
