The new QF A330-300 seat map is available for browsing. Is this configuration loaded onto any sectors yet? I have a BNE - SIN flight in April, but still looks like the old Skybed configuration. Hoping for a change to QPA.

Happy Friday! :)

Myself and the mrs were on QF5 SYD - SIN on 20 Mar on an A330-200 and got moved to QF81 on the same day, which is showing as A330-300 with the new J config. Pretty happy with that. Don't know if that helps, buddy.

@pete - Don't count your chickens before they hatch!  Qantas are notorious for last minute plane changes.

I've noticed a few other things besides the loss of one Economy bathroom.

  1. 23J and 23K have been abolished in favour of some box thing right behind door 2R. I would lean towards the idea that it is some sort of closet, but that raises the question of whether or not 24J and 24K will have cutouts in the bulkhead. If this is so, they will be much more appealing than 23A and 23B that don't (unless the bulkhead is modified to stop short of the floor).
  2. The crew rest has been moved to the right hand side of the aircraft. Why this is the case baffles me.
  3. The J cabin has been expanded by abolishing the 'VCC' and the forward J bathroom, the latter being moved to a part of the former galley. The cabin will thus be noticeably longer so it should feel more spacious.

I'm hoping the rollout will see me on one of these in July, but no counting the chickens just yet!

Correct, this increases the seat count by four, but 23J and 23K have been axed for what looks like a closet, so a net gain of two seats.
