Day Visa's at the border of China. Hi Guys, Has anyone gotten a Visa at the border of China when driving from Hong Kong into China? I have a friend who wants to take me over to China when I visit Hong Kong and says I can get a Visa at the border for about $60-$70. Has anyone used this service before? Thanks :)

Assuming you are Australian citizen?

You should be able to get one of the special 5-day Visa's that is only applicable to the Shenzehn area, assuming that is where you want to travel. You can certainly do this if using the train to enter Lo-Wu at Shenzehn, but unsure if the toll-booth guards can issue it for private transport (I have used a pirvate car with an APEC card but in that scenario there is no fee to pay)

Yes you can get a 1-5 day Shenzhen at the border.

It takes 5 - 15minutes normally at LO WU the train stop. Depending on the line up. Car crossing much the same.

Note you are only allowed to stay in the Shenzhen but looks like you just going for the day so won't bother you.

Enjoy.
