I'm new to the site, so I apologise in advance for posting here. Just spoke to va lounge staff in Sydney. The club opens tomorrow, and members will have anytime lounge access. Does anyone know if a platinum lounge is in the works?

Hi WorldFlyer, and welcome to AusBT - we have a story up on this now, but you were pretty quick off the mark, well done! There were rumours of a Platinum (and business-class) lounge, similar to what Qantas has done with its domestic business lounges, but we've heard naught more on that, the buzz lately has been all about The Club, which is of course far more exclusive.

Welcome to Australian Business Traveller, WorldFlyer! The Club has opened and it is a small section of the upper floor in Sydney. My boss will be going to the exclusive lounge in the coming weeks/months. Virgin Australia, however will not have a Business/Platinum lounge but they have plans for international lounges. Have fun at the lounge!
