Pretty sure the Business check-in counter will give you the Express Path card.

Express Path cards are 'officially' for business/first class passengers and Platinum frequent flyers (and above), although it's been known to happen on occasion.

Ditto what Chris said although a little charm and a friendly hosty might score you one. I did last time I flew QF2.
FYI Emirates bring you one even as a gold.
