Later this year I am travelling from MEL - SIN - LHR in First Class on Singapore Airline's B777-ER, does anyone here have a particular preference for which seat to take and why?

Whilst the 777 F product is nothing to complain about why not take the A380 service for the SIN-LHR leg so you can have a Suite. I haven't travelled SQ first so can't comment on seat selection. 

The latest SQ First class is actually on the 777, though not quite as segregated as the A380. Having flown first on EK A380, you can feel rather shut away from it all in the suites with doors (either a like or dislike). Ideally go one way on the 777 and return on the A380 to compare both. If travelling on your own, then a window seat is always prefereable.

Was flying in F on their B777-ER in January. I think doesn't really matter where you seat. I always prefer window seat since I normally travel solo. My seat was 2F. Perhaps you want to consider the location of the sun?
