Pay per visit lounge access at Sydney Airport. Does anyone know what the options are for visiting a lounge at Sydney International Airport and the costs? No airline status or associated Amex card, just some cash....

None AFAIK (apart from AirNZ when flying on NZ).

Better off to spend the $50 at some of the food outlets

Plaza Premium lounge has just opened, $77 for two hours.

Since the NZ lounge reopened following refurbishment I don't think they're offering pay-in access any more. Someone will no doubt correct me if I'm mistaken.

You're correct eminere – the SkyTeam is now the only lounge to welcome paying customers, except of course for the AMEX lounge where eligible cardholders who have already used their free visit allowance can pay at the door for extra visits (but people without eligible cards can't pay, period).

Thanks for the clarification Chris.

So the Skyteam lounge is operated by Plaza Premium and allows individual visits regardless of airline. Good news.
