Yes, you can use the two at the rear of business.

Flew back from London to Sydney in August (upgraded from economy with points, didn't get business upgrade). To be honest I thought it was brilliant. We were disappointed not to get a full business upgrade (particularly as there were spare seats) but the offering in premium economy by way of service was actually very similar if not the same as business. You get a choice of business wines with your meal, the meal was very good (as good as the business meal we had when flying over previously) and you get your table prepared/ set up by the stewards/ stewardesses.

The downside? No lie-flat bed and it's narrower than business. There is good leg room and we had exit row seats anyway but everyone else looked comfortable. I got to sleep ok but my pregnant wife had less luck and when she asked if there was a spare lie-flat in business, she was promptly taken to it for a full 8 hours sleep!

All in, I would say premium economy is well worth it's cost. more so if you're upgrading with points. Don't plan on a perfect night's sleep though as the incline is about 45-50 degrees and not easy to sleep on!

The toilets as you ask are at the back, smiliar layout to economy but you get 2 toilets for the whole 35 seat section (business can use too but I never saw them coming through). I never waited for a toilet when I needed it, nor my frequent toileting pregnant wife! :)

There is just a single toilet at the rear of upperdeck economy with the new configuration. And don't forget the 30 economy pax.

HI. When we flew there were no economy seats upstairs, only premium economy, and there were two toilets for the premium economy cabins for use by Premium and business customers. The upper deck of the A380 on Singapore airliens has economy and having flown that, I'm pretty sure there were two toilets as well? Qantas doesn't use this configuration though...

Qantas A380s are being progressively reconfigured by removing toilets and shoehorning in additional economy seats upstairs and downstairs. The original question was about this new version.

So far, I think, only two or three have been converted. You must have been on one of the originals.

Oh great, even more economy passengers and less toilet facilities, no wonder I fly Emirates. The configuration on a Qantas a380 is not the best to start with, this remodelling makes it even worse.
