Hi guys, looking at flying EK metal on QF ticket in J to BKK at the end of the year and just wondering if chauffeur drive is available on landing and departure from BKK? I know it's not available in SYD due to being QF ticket but on their website it doesn't state it's not available in BKK. So hopefully someone can confirm as I would prefer to book on QF vs EK. Cheers.

The QF code share does not not qualify - you have to be on the EK flight No.

But there are plenty of private limo options to the city for around $50.

The Qantas website clearly says "Qantas codeshare flights operated by Emirates (with a QF flight number) between Asia and Australia/New Zealand are not eligible."

It is not *supposed* to be available to you on the QF flight number. But sometimes, the system seems to ignore this and offers CD to you.  See if the "Book Chauffeur Drive" option appears in MMB.

Yes, but I've tried this a couple of times and on both occasions the car never showed up, which is what I was half expecting.

Interesting. In my case, I got the cars at both ends.

I flew QF ticket on EK metal last week BNE-SYD (OVERNIGHT) -DXB-FRA-DXB-BNE. I got offered pick up from home near BNE, pick up Sydney domestic to hotel, pick up hotel for Syd departure, none in DXB arrival, but yes for DXB departure and in Frankfurt both in and out and finally when i return home. All cars showed up, DXB hotel pick up got their time wrong, emirates call centre called me, they asked their driver to wait until the normal time. Make sure do the chauffeur online or by calling qantas (not emirates). Not bad eh!

Thank you. I think there is a sense of inconsistent service from the comments on this. Maybe i will just need to book and hope for the best lol. If anyone else can confirm their experience here? Cheers.

Only QF code-share flights on Emirates metal to and from Asia are not eligible for chauffeur drive. Emirates website states this also. In the past I've not been able to book chauffeurs from Singapore to Melbourne and vice-a-versa when flying in J on EK metal, QF ticket.

worked at QF res and  CD was not available on QF services (metal) or codeshare services on EK to Asian ports even though EK allowed for CD on their own services.  Every now and then we saw,  that if you were redirected to the EK website after making your bkg on QF online,(and provided already ticketed) the system would allow you when on the EK website to go ahead and book CD....we never knew if the pax definitely managed to get CD when they arrived though!!  I guess if it is still allowing you to book a CD then do it but be ready to make your own way to your accom...

Yeah i'm not all that fussed as getting to/from BKK will not be expensive, but for me it would be convenient and conceivably faster than queuing up at the taxi rank (esp in Asian countries!).

Yes, on QF ticket from SYD-BKK. Booked Chauffeur Drive through MMB on Qantas website. I was surprised it was there, so I made the booking - and the cars turned up!

In DXB on arrival, you just go to the Emirates Chauffeur Drive desk and show them your boarding pass and ticket. They then allocate you a car - it's really a taxi rank of limos. You don't book that one in advance.
