Which one? Business Class in Qantas 737 or QantasLink's Boeing 717

Chris Chamberlin did a nice review in 2016 of the 717 business seats, but can someone tell me which they think is better for a CBR/BNE leg in business class?  It seems that the 717 might have seats that are newer, but 2 inches narrower.

Business class on the 737s is nicer. The 737 seats are the same as international premium economy but covered in red leather, and about half of these aircraft have seat back video screens rather than wifi inflight entertainment. The 717 seats lack legrests (not really needed for CBR/BNE) and rely on iPads for inflight entertainment.

Definitely the 737, much better product, I often get an upgrade offer on the 717 service but seldom on the the 737, seems many don’t feel the 717 is worth it.

I generally agree with the above, but:

Legroom in row 1 is much better on 717 than 737. By some margin.

The older 737s have re-covered seats (and lack things like USB charge) and aren’t as nice as the newer 737 seats.
