I am looking at flying to Berlin, this would mean the PER to LHR leg. I have just typed in my dates and have been less than wowed over seat selection in premium economy. On the domestic flight between melbourne and perth there is an option to choose an "extra legroom seat."
Assuming you were the first to book a PE seat on QF9, does PE offer "extra legroom seats?" ??
Are you booking QF9 from MEL to PER or a different flight to connect to QF9 from PER to LHR?
What status do you have?
The best seats are blocked off for the high status travellers.
Others with the same status as you may have selected the best seats of the rest leaving you with slim pickings for now till much closer till the flight goes.

As a gold frequent flyer I only get offered the rear 2 rows in PE on QF9. I have not seen the front row of PE offered at an extra fee.
