Flying to Europe from east coast Australia soon, via Perth in EK J (QF code share). What's the Perth Qantas business lounge situation? Different lounges for domestic/business and separate club/business? Any local knowledge appreciated.

Emirates depart from T1 International, which is on the other side of the airfield from T3/T4 where you'll arrive on your Qantas domestic flight.

Technically you can have access to the Qantas T4 Domestic Business Lounge with your connecting Emirates J ticket - might be worth a quick pit stop there.

But at some point, you'll need to take the free terminal transfer bus to T1 and then use the Qantas or Emirates lounges there after security and immigration.

Your luggage should be through-checked Perth.

Bl5965 is correct.

Qantas currently has 4 lounges in Perth.
1. Perth International (T1) - used by EK, JQ other oneworld airlines
2. Perth International Transit Lounge (T3) - limited to pax on / connecting on QF9/10
3. Perth Business Lounge (T4) - general domestic and other QF/JQ international
4. Perth Qantas Club (T4) - general domestic and other QF international

Emirates has their own lounge at T1 with direct boarding from the lounge. Food selection was quite good.

1 - EK use their own lounge in T1

and

3/4 - QP is solely domestic from my reading of the Eligibility rules on the QF page, the J-Lounge is for all QF Intl pax that aren't able to use the Transit lounge.

Sorry to jump on the back of this thread, but does anyone know the operating hours of the Perth lounges?
I haven't been able to locate this detail online, and no luck when trying to call through to the airlines.
I too will be flying into Perth on a Qantas domestic flight in T4, then departing to the UK on an Emirates flight from T1. Thanks.

If departing in emirates I would make my way to the departure Terminal and use the Emirates Lounge. It’s far nicer the Qantas International Lounge.

Pretty much any Qantas lounge you walk past you have access to and most are open for terms and conditions and times see https://www.qantas.com/travel/airlines/lounge-locations/perth/terminal-1/international-business-lounge/global/en
Also the Emirates lounge Perth T1 will also be open as if you are on an Emirates flight it will be open before the flight.

If someone is departing on QF10 to Melbourne (international flight, domestic leg) would QF Gold flying economy be able to get into the international lounge in T4 as it's an international flight?

If you are on QF10 between LHR-MEL, you have access to the T3 Transit Lounge

T4 is purely dom, no int lounge there, T3 is the int lounge/terminal.

QF have kept T4 as it was in the past, purely dom, have been through there flying ADL - PER and PER - ADL even before T3 became the int terminal.

Used the QP in PER T4 twice in the past, but not since the major upgrade though.

Are you flying all the way from the UK, or are you flying only PER - MEL as a dom pax on an int flight?

They are very strict, about access to the true Transit Lounge, ie the J lounge in T3 PER, according to what has been mentioned on here.

Only true pax from LHR through PER T3 to MEL can access the business lounge in T3, dom pax on the int leg do not have access to the J lounge in T3.

You will have access to the QP in T4 though.
