Shock and horror - this morning I found out that the Sydney Qantas international Business lounge no longer has a pancake machine! Why oh why qantas???? Surely there must be a logical explanation as to why the decision was made :(

Must be Qantas is now seriously planning on renovating the lounge and adding live cooking station, completed with Neil Perry-designed breakfast menu (think fresh kitchen-made pancakes like in the first lounge), therefore, they are getting rid of those machines.

I demand the live cooking station is staffed by Neil Perry!

But really, as long as the machines are kept clean, what is wrong with them; given they make pancakes to order?

ANZ has one in their lounge. Try and claim right of entry under the ANZUS treaty for an emergency pancake feed.

My daughter is trying to understand a world that would so such a thing and suggested flying to Sydney from another Australian port to use the remaining machine in the domestic lounge...

The SYD J lounge is absolutely terrible and so this is in keeping with the current theme. Perth has pizza, Brisbane has Mexican, Sydney has a shed of awfulness and boredom.
