Every time I have had the barramundi it has been totally over cooked and had to be sent back. Qantas is really lacking in business class food choices compared to some of the other airlines. The lounge option is far better, although even there if you compare to other lounges such as Cathay Pacific it looses again
I ate at the Qantas business lounge before the flight and the food was terrible, food was stale and the cheese had bugs flying around. No cool to order meals on offer.
I skipped dinner on the plane as recommended and had a fantastic sleep.
My breakfast frittata on the plane was allot nicer than the food offered at the lounge. My wife has poached eggs and grains which was also lovely.
My next Qantas flight in business I’m going to the pub restaurant at the airport and have a shower at the lounge.
I will be writing to Qantas regarding my lounge experience, which they will file in their don’t care bin. :)
Personal thing but I eat at the lounge and crash out on the flight. Most frequent lounges are London, Sydney (First) and DFW where they have a decent selection. Otherwise the QF catering on board is good.
