Velocity Gold, Platinum access to temporary KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Singapore

As the name suggests, will Velocity Gold and Platinum people flying on Singapore Airlines economy have access to the new temporary KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Singapore T3, which is actually the new Marhaba Lounge?

I believe that VA Gold/Platinum will get access but I guess we'll find out soon. Website indicates that those currently eligible will automatically get access to the temporary lounge.

Hopefully VA status holders will get access. I have read a story with a quote from SQ stating that "only KF Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold passengers will get access".

It's definitely the biggest downside of being with Velocity. I'm Platinum in Velocity and was in Rome recently and travelling in Premium Economy back home but couldn't get lounge access because SQ doesn't own and operate the lounge. Then when I was in Changi, I only had access to the Gold Lounge (pre-renovation) which was so crowded and the food options really limited. The upgrade can't come fast enough!

It should, otherwise Singapore Airlines will lose a LOT of customers on their own metals.

I've contacted Singapore Airlines via social media and they've confirmed that velocity gold/platinums will get access to the T3 temporary lounge.

I recently hit Platinum on QF and have some time on it till November next year and was thinking that with upcoming international travel - maybe giving SQ a go would be worth a shot.

Do they do a status match by any chance? Can't seem to find any details anywhere.
