As I'm sure many are aware, the new VA International Lounge guide is absolutely terrible and missing a lot of information compared to the old website. I've booked HNL-SYD on Hawaiian Airlines as a VA ticket and noticed that the new Lounge guide doesn't list Hawaiian Airlines at all anymore! Previously it listed lounge access only when on a VA ticket (I think they used the DL lounge?).
I messaged VA on Twitter who have advised me there is no longer lounge access when on a VA ticket! I don't see this change written anywhere online. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
On a side note, the new Lounge Guide needs changing/updating immediately. It doesn't list the EY Fist Class lounge in AUH for VA Plat, doesn't mention which lounges can be used by VA Gold/Plat in Changi on SQ, amongst other missing things...
EDIT: It does actually say on the Hawaiian Airlines partner page that lounge access is offered, though doesn't mention which lounge and links to the new Lounge Guide. https://www.virginaustralia.com/hk/en/experience/airline-partners/hawaiian-airlines/#lounge-access

Guests travelling in Business class on Hawaiian Airlines operated flights receive complimentary entry into the International Business class lounge when departing Sydney or Brisbane and the Plumeria Lounge in Honolulu. The Plumeria Lounge is a special place for Hawaiian guests to relax and share memories of the sights, sounds, and flavours of the Islands.
Velocity Platinum and Gold guests travelling in Economy Class VA codeshare flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines can enjoy lounge access at ‘The House' when departing from Sydney and lounge access also when departing Honolulu. In Brisbane, guests travelling on the VA codeshare can access the Plaza Premium Lounge prior to the flight.
Above is the quote from the website.
So Gold and Platniums have access to the Plumeria lounge when travelling on VA Codeshare.

I recently redeemed a VA award on Hawaiian Airlines in economy. It's a VA ticket but I got booked on HA flight numbers.
So even though I'm a Platinum member I don't get any lounge access although in HNL I can use my Priority Pass membership to access the Plumeria Lounge.

Last time I looked, lounge access for VA Gold/Platinum travelling on a VA codeshare flight from Honolulu to Australia was interestingly to the Delta Sky Club, not Hawaiian's Plumeria Lounge, although this may have changed.
Hi Guest, join in the discussion on
No more lounge access in HNL on VA codeshare for VA Gold/Platinum?
