I see that VA are still informing Travellers that they will try to keep the seat next to them vacant.
Is that still being implemented and when will this practice be no longer required?
Sad part is that they are using the " minimum contact between crew and passengers " as an excuse not to serve a decent meal in Business Class.
Qantas are serving normal good quality hot meals so I guess VA simply don't have enough money to do so yet.

Hi, I think you have been misinformed - reduced contact initially resulted in no food offerings when social distancing began - 4 weeks later VA went into admin with catering contracts and such progressively terminated.
Virgin's new business class menu is tipped to be released in a few weeks and noodles are very unlikely to be on it according to recent ABC News which David Flynn from ET was cited in.
Just be patient and wait for the sale to be finalised and further announcements over the next month or so of what VAs service will shape up to offer.
You can keep speculating but it's all opinion until you hear it anounced from the airline itself.
May I suggest in the interim - Coles for $10 offers a fantastic pre packaged cheese platter that you can have and be the envy of your fellow travellers ;)
If the cheese is gorgonzola then it may be banned by security as an offensive weapon!!!
The Federal Court yesterday cleared the way for VA to be taken over by Bain so I guess we will know soon.
Your very correct there - back in August being in WA we had the chance to fly VA up to Cocos Island - the flight leaves intl terminal and unfortunately had to throw away camembert, hummus and quince paste - it was a sad day for those involved.
