COMO Hotels and Resorts will open its first Australian property in October as the 48-room COMO The Treasury, Perth hotel.
Situated in the Cathedral Square Development precinct in Perth’s CBD, the hotel makes use of a newly-revitalised building that previously sat unused for almost 20 years among others that were used as a town hall, post office, treasury and more over the years.
With a focus on understated luxury, the Kerry Hill-designed rooms have a relatively minimalist feel but still offer king beds, plenty of natural light and European furniture, with some rooms also enjoying private balcony access:
The ensuite bathrooms boast twin vanities, stone tiles and heated floors, while guests also have access to free wireless Internet, a gym and indoor heated pool, meeting rooms and a lounge bar for casual drinks with colleagues and clients.
On the rooftop you’ll discover a fine dining restaurant serving up contemporary European cuisine against views across the Swan River, with a separate restaurant on the ground floor providing a more laidback dining experience of local Australian dishes.
The hotel officially opens on October 15 2015, with reservations currently available via the hotel’s website for stays from Monday November 2.

Not happy with the look of the rooms. Looks drab & colourless. I know they are pretty much slave drivers. Not organized & doesn't care about their staff. Someone I know work there. They would push their workers with 11-12 hours a day, and even on their days off they are still spammed by emails about work. And still having to go to work on their days off. For the way they are treating their staffs, I'd give it 1/2 star

By far the best hotel in Perth. Beautifully restored exterior is complimented by the tastefully finished interior. Fantastic drinking & dining options as well such as David Thompson's Long Chim.
