DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai: Jumeriah Beach hotel opens

The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Dubai: Jumeirah Beach has opened its doors, offering all-suite accommodation in the Qantas and Emirates gateway city to Europe.

Located on The Walk – a 1.7km seaside strip in the Jumeirah Beach Residence area – the hotel is in a perfect location for relaxing, swimming, skydiving, shopping and socialising.

Minutes away from the Dubai Marina and Dubai Marina Mall, the 110-suite property is the second DoubleTree to open in Dubai, following the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Residences: Al Barsha.

John Greenleaf, Global Head, DoubleTree by Hilton said: "DoubleTree by Hilton caters to both business and leisure travellers by focusing on a warm, welcoming guest service culture built around the idea of ‘Create a Rewarding Experience’.

“Our guests’ stays begins with the presentation of a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie upon arrival, adding a touch of warmth and indulgence after a long day of travel."

The hotel features a selection of 110 one, two and three bedroom suites – some with a fully equipped kitchen and breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf Sea and The Palm Jumeirah.

In-room Internet access is free for Hilton HHonors Gold and Diamond members, while all travellers can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi in all public areas.

Guests looking to unwind can take advantage of the many treatments on offer at the hotel's Breakwater Health Club, which includes four dedicated treatment rooms and a steam room, along with a Jacuzzi and sauna.

There’s also an outdoor infinity pool, or if you’d prefer, the hotel has its own private beach – the Areia Beach Club.

For the hungry traveller, the hotel offers four dining venues.

There’s Al Maeda, with upscale Arabic cuisine and an outdoor terrace with sea view, and The Kitchen Table, serving the signature Wake Up DoubleTree Breakfast and a broad selection of local and international fresh dishes.

Areia Beach Bar & Grill is where guests can taste the authentic flavours of Arabic style BBQ and watch the sun set over the sea, while the Maiya Lounge serves up a selection of drinks and nibbles.

These include imported waters from around the world, specialty hot & cold beverages and a variety of light menu items including pastries, salads, sandwiches and fruits.

Members of Hilton HHonors can earn and redeem HHonors points at the hotel.

For the latter, it's a Category 7 property, which sees free rooms available for between 30,000 and 60,000 HHonors points per night, varying in line with both season and demand.

Gold and Diamond members of the program enjoy other perks like room upgrades at check-in, free continental breakfast and 25-50% more HHonors points for every dollar spent.

Those beds do seem harder than normal, but worth a try.

It's been open less than a week. Unless you've actually stayed there I'd love to know how you know about the softness of the beds.

By looking. Softer beds tend to look "puffier" and rounder while harder beds look more "square".
