Emirates’ two daily flights from Perth to Dubai will both feature a Boeing 777 as of today, with the UAE carrier replacing the previous Airbus A340 on the morning EK425 service for the sake of “product consistency”.
The new 777-200LR aircraft is kitted out to the same three-class standard as Emirates’ A380s with eight private suites in First Class, 42 flat-beds in business class, and 216 economy class seats with a 33 inch pitch (two inches more legroom than Qantas’ standard economy seat in an A380 or 747-400).
The upgraded in-flight entertainment system has over 1,200 music and movie channels, according to Emirates. (And if you don’t want to take their word for it, feel free to count them on your next trip).
Emirates is the only airline in Australia with the Boeing 777-200LR, the aptly-named long-range version of the 777.
“The introduction of the new aircraft will ensure an enhanced and consistent travel experience for Emirates’ passengers to Dubai and beyond” says Darren Tyrrell, Emirates Sales Manager for WA.
“The early morning EK425 service also allows Emirates flyers to have breakfast in Perth, lunch in Dubai and dinner in Europe”.
All classes of travel enjoy complimentary gourmet food and beverages, and generous baggage allowances starting with a maximum 30kg in economy class. You can also check one set of golf clubs for free, even if your luggage is already at the 30kg limit.
