Frasers Hospitality plans 48 new hotels by 2019

Frasers Hospitality – the company behind brands such as Fraser Suites, Capri by Fraser and Modena – has ambitious plans to open 48 new properties across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe over the next three years.

China will be home to many of these with new, as-yet-untitled residences billed for Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu, with a 345-unit Modena by Fraser hotel popping up in Changsha later this year, plus Fraser Suites Dalian Europark and Fraser Place Nanchang properties opening in 2017.

Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, India and Myanmar join China to form over half of the planned 48 hotels, while Fraser Suites Abuja in Nigeria will mark the chain’s first African hotel later this year, followed by openings in Lagos and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Expanding on the existing Fraser presence in Dubai and Doha, new hotels will arrive both in those travel hubs and also in the neighbouring Saudi Arabian cities of Riyadh, Khobar, Dammam and Jeddah.

To the UK and Europe, the brand will also plant its flag in Berlin and Hamburg, Stratford-upon-Avon (England) – the birthplace of William Shakespeare – and Valletta (Malta).
