Free guide: wi-fi Internet access at airports around the world

Here's a handy reference for travellers – a guide to wi-fi Internet access at dozens of the world's major airports.
With some airports it's free, while others will hit you up for $20 if you want some pre-flight surfing (assuming you don't enjoy access to an airport lounge where the wi-fi is free, albeit password-protected).
US-based website Airfarewatchdog.com pulled together this list – we've posted the international chart here so you can get an idea of its scope and detail, but you can click here to download both charts as a single PDF [240kb in size] and keep them on your smartphone, tablet or laptop for instant reference on your next trip.

Another potential (paid) solution to wifi access when on the road is a subscription with a global wifi provider such as boingo or iPass.
These can be costly if your wifi use is limited, or if you're travelling to multiple regions. Therefore a 'pay as you go' alternative such as Skype Wifi may be suitable.
