Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong launches 'Business on the Run' package

Hong Kong's landmark Mandarin Oriental hotel is now bundling together a series of business-friendly services in its 'Business on the Run' package.

Offered as part of a room rate starting at HK$4,250 (A$530) for the hotel's standard 'Superior' room the deal includes complimentary pressing of a suit and two shirts, free Internet access and local telephone calls and a buffet breakfast.

Guests also get on-call access to what The Mandarin Oriental terms a 'technology butler' – a staffer designated to help specifically with IT issues. We'd like to assign a seriously curly task to one of these wizards, such as doing a mail merge and printing envelope labels in Microsoft Word, and see how they handle it...

Not included in the room rate, but high on the Mandarin Oriental's brag list, is that the hotel's "legendary Concierge team is on hand to provide cufflinks for both men and women, ties and shirt studs to name just a few items. Should guests wish to have a bespoke suit, shirt or dress made within a day, then Hong Kong’s famous tailors are just a telephone call away."
