Fiji Airways reveals new Airbus A350 business class

Like many other airlines, Fiji Airways is using the debut of an all-new aircraft type to launch an all-new business class. In the case of the island nation's flag-carrier, that jet is the Airbus A350 – due for delivery in November – and that seat is a premium pew based on the popular Collins Aerospace 'Super Diamond' design.

These visualisation renders show a clean cabin design with touches of woodgrain and cream, although everything will no doubt look better in real life once Fiji Airways adds touches such as the patterned cushions shown below in the airline's current Airbus A330 – which of course has a 2-2-2 layout, compared to the 1-2-1 configuration of the A350.

Fiji Airways' Airbus A350s will sport 33 fully-flat business class seats with travel-friendly traits such as added personal storage space and extra-large video screens, while the 1-2-1 layout boosts privacy. Inflight WiFi will also be available to all passengers.

The first of Fiji Airways' two Airbus A350 is due for delivery in late November, with the second to follow shortly after. Both jets will be rostered onto flights to Sydney and Los Angeles from December, and will expand the airline's scope rather than replace the Airbus A330s.

Fiji Airways is a partner with Qantas through its status as a Oneworld Connect member of the Oneworld airline alliance, unlocking valuable perks for eligible Qantas Frequent Flyer cardholders taking Fiji Airways flights.

Like a cars interior....those colours look like they will mark easily. However it is a striking cabin.

Russell, you're right about the colours marking easily. This has been somewhat of problem with their current a330 business class, according to some reviews.

Very swanky. Looks very much a top class quality product. Great option to the US from Sydney.

Qantas doesn't have a first class per se. It's deluxe business class. From food, amenity kit, overly casual service and lavs.

Looks nice, Oneworld Connect and “valuable perks” is a bit of a stretch though particularly if you are in business class.

The thing is that it offers a top-notch product but the food is not quite satisfying, and that happened both on board and in their NAN lounge. I think it might be suitable for them to find someone to design the menu then everything will get to be fine.

How long do they expect all those near white surfaces will stay that way? Beautiful looking but totally impractical. Esp if they are going to be using L1 for boarding and deplaning.
