Plaza Premium's global lounge network continues to grow with the opening of its latest pay-in facility at Singapore's Changi Airport.

Situated in Terminal 1, the lounge is easily accessible to passengers flying to Australia with the likes of Qantas, Emirates, British Airways and Jetstar, but can be accessed by any traveller using any terminal via the free Skytrain to T1.

Inside, the 140-seat space brings Plaza Premium's signature touches such as chandeliers and easy-reach power points, along with a dining area to enjoy made-to-order dishes such as classic Singapore chicken and rice plus Singapore laksa:

Business travellers can set up in a number of office-like booths for privacy and productivity...

... or can sit in a more open space for casual tablet browsing over the free wireless Internet:

Larger groups can also settle in a five-person suite...

... while weary travellers can book one of three private resting suites for S$75 (A$72.50) for three hours, which also includes a further three hours spent in the general lounge area.

Plaza Premium's new Singapore lounge opens its doors to Priority Pass members flying with any airline, while all other travellers can buy their way in at reception for S$58 (A$56) for up to five hours or S$105 (A$101.50) for ten hours.

The 24-hour lounge also offers six shower rooms – included with Priority Pass access and the paid entry options – but can be used on their own for just S$16 (A$15.50), inclusive of shower amenities and also a welcome drink, but without access to the lounge's other facilities.

Also on-site: a day spa offering massage and nail care services...

... which are at an extra cost to all passengers.

isn't the shower like half price at the ambassador transit lounges? isn't everything cheaper at those lounges?

This lounge puts the SATs and other shared lounges to share, including SQ's Gold Lounge. Well done!

That looks pretty nice for a paid lounge. But not cheap at all if you want to chill at lounge and have a shower. At thsoe rates might be cheaper to go to hotel for about 8 hours, grab a quick nap & shower in the privacy of your own room.

I just checked the prices at the ambassador transit hotel which i've used several times over the last 10 years at all 3 terminals.  Over the time it's changed management and the prices have increased incrementally over the years, but since August last year the prices have jumped as more than the previous decade combined.  For example a single room 6hour block was less than SGD$80 nett, since last year it's jumped up to SGD$105 nett.  So up until last year it was cheaper and more value to hire a hotel room but now i'm not so sure.  Normally I stay for 12-16 hrs but at that new price I might as well stay in the crowne plaza which is a much nicer hotel and saves me from having to bring a change of clothes in my hand luggage.
