Members of the Priority Pass airport lounge scheme can now stop by the Club Millesime lounge at the Sofitel London Heathrow hotel after arriving into the UK capital or when departing London on the same day.

Open to Priority Pass members between 7am and 9:30pm daily, it’s a great option for passengers touching down on those early-morning flights – particularly Qantas flight QF1 from Sydney and Dubai – with shower facilities, free WiFi and refreshments to get your day started.

With the hotel located ‘landside’ at Terminal 5, passengers arriving at Heathrow would first clear passport control, collect their baggage and pass through customs before walking to the hotel and obtaining an access card from the main reception desk.

Travellers arriving at Heathrow’s other terminals, such as Terminal 3 on QF1, can take a quick train ride across to Terminal 5 at no charge.

While lacking lounges in Australia’s major cities, Priority Pass membership often comes free with many Platinum- and Black-level credit cards including the American Express Platinum Charge Card, Citi Prestige Visa Infinite and Westpac Altitude Black, with paid plans also available.

Sofitel London Heathrow was recognised as the world’s best airport hotel in the 2015 Australian Business Traveller Awards, while a Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge in Heathrow’s Terminal 2 can also be accessed by Priority Pass cardholders.
