The new ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card offers a range of features for globetrotters including a Virgin Australia domestic return flight each year until the card is cancelled after spending $500 on eligible purchases in the first three months1 , no overseas transaction fee on purchases and also overseas travel and medical insurance2.

Joining those, two single entry Virgin Australia lounge passes each year until the card is cancelled, which new cardholders receive after spending $500 on eligible purchases in the first three months and then each year after that on request3.

With both an American Express® card and a Visa on the one account, you can also earn ANZ Reward Points on your everyday purchases and then convert those into frequent flyer points with four major airlines, or redeem them for products, services and travel directly through ANZ Rewards.

Where could this card take you?

New accountholders who spend $500 on eligible purchases in the first three months can enjoy a domestic return flight each year until the card is cancelled, including in the first year.

Where you go is entirely up to you, with ANZ’s flight offer valid on a large range of domestic point-to-point Virgin Australia routes including longer treks such as between Sydney and Perth; Brisbane and Darwin and also Melbourne and Cairns.

You can also earn two ANZ Reward Points per dollar of eligible spend on everyday purchases via the ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures American Express card and one ANZ Reward Point per dollar of eligible spend via the Visa card, which comes on the same account under the one annual fee.

Those ANZ Reward Points can be converted into Virgin Australia Velocity Frequent Flyer points, Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles at the same rates and with the same minimum conversion amounts as with all other ANZ Rewards credit cards.

Insurance coverage, for your protection

ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures accountholders could be eligible for a range of complimentary insurances including overseas travel and medical insurance, interstate flight inconvenience insurance and rental excess cover under a master policy from QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited2.

When making eligible purchases on either the AMEX or Visa card, you may also qualify for extended warranty insurance, a best price guarantee scheme and also 90-day purchase security insurance4, subject to eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions.

Virgin Australia lounge access, for your enjoyment

Spending $500 on eligible purchases in the first three months doesn’t just unlock that domestic return flight, it also gets you two single entry Virgin Australia lounge passes, available each year until the card is cancelled.

Valid when travelling on an onward Virgin Australia domestic flight that same day, your passes get you through the door in any of the airline’s domestic lounges across the country during their regular opening hours.

You’ll find them in Alice Springs, Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Darwin, Gold Coast, Mackay, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney – just present your lounge pass along with your Virgin Australia boarding pass.
