DanV, you are forgetting Indigo Partners attempted to buy in and gain control 18 months ago when VAA were well and truly a full service airline. Velocity is not in administration. It's a separate company. No need to offload points as they will be usable, and there will be seats galore available in the future due to what will be long term subdued demand. Hold on to them as they will be great value.

Many much larger airlines worldwide have stopped all flights long ago. This is not a surprise, and a wise business decision. The politicians and journalists who think another airline will move in within months if Virgin is left to fail are delusional, and need to stop listening to AJ and his PR team. It will take at least 2 years to acquire the required CASA permits and approvals if they start immediately. QF know this...

While Virgin don't seem to have any money to invest in a new type, it's interesting the A220 tour happens to be during the current fleet and route review. The F100 fleet is ageing and will have to be dealt with at some stage. Replace it or get rid of it?
