Vibe Hotel Canberra Airport opens next week

The new Vibe Hotel Canberra Airport prepares to open its doors to travellers next week with the first guests checking-in from November 2nd.

Located just 50 metres from the terminal door, the hotel’s 191 rooms provide views of either the city or Lake Burley Griffin, with the property claiming each to be “sound-proof” from the whirring aircraft outside.

Cleverly adapting an aviation theme, those are divided into 110 ‘Lower Deck’ rooms on floors 1-3; 60 ‘Upper Deck’ rooms and also 12 ‘First Class Suites’ on floors 4-5; and 9 normally-named one- and two-bedroom apartments on level six (‘The Apartments’ a la Etihad, perhaps?).

Business travellers can remain connected with complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, can work out at the Vibe Fit gym or can grab a European-inspired meal at Helix Bar & Dining under the reins of executive chef Michael Chatto.

Guests can also escape the airport for meetings with six conference and event spaces catering for up to 200 attendees, or if staying overnight can enjoy 25% off the usual room rates until January 31 2016 with breakfast included when booking via the TFE Hotels website.
