Hi all.

I'm trying here as I've been given the run around by Qantas for a couple of days. I have an upcoming business class trip to NZ that I booked during the double status credit deal.

We're now on to the third flight change since booking but on the latest one, they changed me from a two leg flight to a direct flight. I wouldn't be too concerned normally but this was a status run to get me within reach of Platinum for the first time and the change means 90 less status credits.

Does anyone know if I get the status credits based on the orginal booking or the amended booking?

Thanks

If QANTAS initiated those changes (e.g. due to cancelling your flights) each time then you can put in an application for original routing credit (you can email their frequent flyer team) after the points and status credits have posted for the flights you flew. Make sure to keep your boarding passes until it is all sorted.

If you prefer a direct flight getting the status credits in the end for flying the indirect route but not having that extra travelling time is nice.

Are you guaranteed to get the original routing credit?
