My Wife and Daughter are looking for a Hotel with easy access via Train from BKK Airport
It doesn't have to be 5 star but a good area with Shopping and good value Restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel
Safety is important to them

I’ve heard great review from the park Hyatt Bangkok. Close to build transport and in the more upmarket area which is quite safe.

VIE Hotel - MGallery by Sofitel is right next to the skytrain station and just one short stop to get the train direct to the airport. It’s not a huge hotel but has decent facilities and a lovely pool.

It’s conveniently just a 2 minute ride to the main shopping plazas so great location.

If you get off at RATCHAPRAROP Station (second from last) there are plenty of 3-5 star hotels. I like the Amari Watergate. Patunam market for shopping is close by as well as several malls for air con shopping. The BTS system is within walking distance. This will take you up Sukhumvit Rd or down to the Chayo Praya River where you can get a boat to Chinatown etc. Plenty of good food everywhere in BKK. Its a very safe area.

Agree with DJTECH... great hotel still feels new and right next to train and on top of shopping centre. The infinity pool is fanatastic too!

My wife and I stayed at Novotel Siam for 4 nights. The location is strategic with many eating places nearby.

Agree with all above! Spent 3 nights there a fortnight ago and the stay was perfect! Brand new property, great service, high end products. Highly recommend!

My favourite is AVANI Riverside Bangkok, in my opinion it is the best in the area from hotels... Also you can rent property in Bangkok with services like cleaning, cooking and so on. There are no issues with security.
