• Did exactly this at the Fairmont in Vancouver airport.  Used express checkout so it was only later when I reviewed the folio that the bonus $52 charge was evident. Quick email and it was reversed but lesson learnt on the hidden switch below each item.

  • I got sick of spending $5 just to check a voicemail so ditched Voda for Amaysim. Have just spent 25 days in EU and only burnt 40% of my $50 roaming pack with daily Google map use, voicemails and emails.  Worked a treat.btw Wifi is free on SQ if you join Krisflyer.

  • Interesting that it is only for the first year as mine have persisted for maybe ten years now.

So we killed the booking before I had yet more dollars tied to non-existent travel.Interestingly, NSW could open now to citizens wanting to return home from overseas. They could return with no...

  • Fly Air Canada as its always better than UA and credit your miles to Mileage Plus ( I'm Oz based, but been a member for 30 years). If your Canadian destinations are West Coast, then Alaska Air and its mileage program wins hands down.Peter

  • On arrival into LAX, and once you clear customs, you'll find the transfer belts are outside security - no way around this on your routing.
