Qantas - Qantas Frequent Flyer

On a France/Germany business trip last northern summer I was booked to fly with Lufthansa, which was one the worst travel experiences that I have experienced in more than 25 years. Twice I was abandoned in Frankfurt after connecting flights were cancelled, and my luggage went missing/lost during the second of these adventures. Apart from the hundreds of dollars lost in missed and extra hotel expenses, more than three months later, I have yet to hear anything from LH about compensation for lost luggage (or anything else – not a single email etc).
My baggage (2 items) was lost between Lyon and Hamburg on departed Lyon 30 July (LH1077) but the Fra->Ham connection was cancelled and I actually flew LH0006 on 31 July. My bags were lost since Lyon 30 July and were missing for all the time I spent in north Germany, necessitating my buying clothes, toiletries and a suit case. I returned to Australia (Japan Airlines, thankfully) 07 August, but logged a missing baggage compensation claim 18 August
Since then I have heard absolutely nothing from Lufthansa.
The contents of the cases were of high quality and value. Service from Lufthansa was and has been woeful. I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who had similar experiences or can offer advice on how to proceed.

That sounds like a very disappointing experience. You may be entitled to compensation under EU regulation. There are companies like Flightright that can help you with this.
Additionally, you should claim this back through your travel insurance.
