Flying QF MEL - LAX in F, connecting to AA LAX - ATL in F.

Flying QF MEL - LAX in F, connecting to AA LAX - ATL in F. I'm not OWE - will I have access to the T4 Flagship Lounge by virtue of having arrived in F on a OW carrier? I know it's not anything special, but it's a definite step-up from the decidedly sub-par Admirals Club. Thanks.

I don't think you can get access to the lounge after you have landed however if LAX-ATL is classified as a transcontinental flight you can. Heres what it says on the AA website:

• First Class cabin on an American Airlines marketed and operated three-class nonstop transcontinental flight. Lounge access is also valid on a same-day itinerary that includes a qualifying transcontinental segment.

Oneworld lounge access rules trumps the AA rules on this matter.

• Connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights: 
  • First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul (a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours) and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa).     
  • Lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
  • You must be prepared to show your boarding pass or itinerary showing travel in First or Business class on the international long haul flight, in order to access the lounge before your international short haul or domestic flight."

Yes you will be able to use the Flagship lounge at LAX T4 because you have come off a long haul international flight in the First class cabin.
