I am flying return Perth <-> Melbourne on July 18/19 and am keen to try the new A330-200 Business Suite. Anyone know how to work out which flights that day will have this? I know the in service aircraft registrations are VH-EBV and VH-EBA. Selecting my current seat it appears both flights are on the older 2-2-2 configuration.

QF485 and QF802 are flights which have been most operated by the new aircraft
If your seat is coming up with the older layout then it is not very good
If you did purchase a flexible ticket you could change to other flights and try the seating layout of them otherwise try calling the service center assuming you have status (Otherwise good luck trying to call)

Qantas has said they will prioritise the red eye flights which makes sense. By July their should be a couple more reconfigured aircraft in service but no guarantees on which flights they will operate.
