QF top up points promo

Any views on whether the 50% bonus on purchasing QF points is worth it? Does anyone have a guide as to how to value QF points?

Based on that, it looks like the promo is unlikely to net you good value on flights.

I would probably only consider it slightly short of a goal and needing to book very quickly. Things like credit card sign up bonuses if you are disciplined offer much better value but could take over 3 months longer to get the points.
