Hey all! Currently KrisFlyer Gold/Star Alliance Gold, but looking to improve my United status from Silver to Gold this year before I lose Gold in March (possible move to the US on the cards).

I have an upcoming trip to the US. Should I quote my Singapore airlines or MileagePlus number at booking? Is there any benefit or trade off to either given the Star Alliance partnership? I’m assuming if I quote my MileagePlus number, PQM etc will be credited to United, and I can still use my star alliance gold membership for lounge perks etc?

I’ve read various T&Cs from Singapore, United, and Star Alliance, and neither make it completely clear!
