Hi Craig Clarke,

Yes you can use the Admirals Lounge at JFK Terminal 8 (and anywhere else) if you are flying with AA and hold a valid Qantas Club membership.

The arrangement between Qantas and American for the use of the Qantas Club/Admirals Lounge sit outside of the oneworld framework, i.e access to Qantas Club/Admirals Lounge by Qantas Club and Admirals Club members is not dependent on the member's elite status.

If you are however flying Qantas out of JFK on QF108 (JFK/LAX/SYD), you may access the BA Galleries Lounge at JFK Terminal 7. There are no Admirals lounge at JFK Terminal 7 (AA operates out of Terminal 8). This is the ONLY BA lounge accessible to Qantas Club members. So if you're flying on QF108 enjoy it - BA Galleries lounges are rather nice!

Qantas Club members were able to access the BA Galleries lounge at LHR T3 but with the marriage to Emirates that has changed that. Instead at LHR Qantas Club members flying Qantas in Economy have access only to AA's Admirals Club at LHR T3, as part of the Qantas and American arrangement.
