I'm travelling to New York and Montreal for six days in September and I'm wondering what the best way to use my phone over there is.

I'm travelling to New York and Montreal for six days in September and I'm wondering what the best way to use my phone over there is. I mostly just need data and the ability to receive calls. I'm with Optus, is their $10 a day data pack thing the way to go, or would I be better off with a travel SIM?

I have bought a seperate sim for my other phone for a company called Tru. it seems to work quite well i carry 2 phones... regular number and one for travels
