Forgot to add the question above.

I'm flying out to the USA next week with Qantas, looking over my return flights I noticed I have a 1hr 45 minute transfer at LAX. I've heard stories and experienced how LAX works, I'm wondering since I'm flying with American Airlines on a Qantas booking from Raleigh Durham via Dallas if I can/get my Qantas boarding pass at RDU or DFW or will I have to make a mad dash from T4 over to TBIT? Thanks for your help guys.

Need to hope all your flights are on time into LAX.  At RDU ask for your bags to be tagged through to your final destination and obtain all your boarding passes at RDU.  There is a terminal transfer bus as LAX T4 for transit to TBIT (gate 44) which will mean you will need not go through security at TBIT.

Agree with  Driley28, but forget about the bus while it comes every 5/10 mins the walk from Terminal 4 to TBIT is just 3 mins...200 yards and up to the next level for QF departures and security.

Thanks for that guys, you've cleared it up, I had a girl from Qantas tell me she wasn't sure if I'd be able to check my bags all the way through, but I guess that is classic Qantas!
