Boris Island airport proposal is set to be thrown out by the British government's Airports Commission.

It must be a relief for Australians to know that their governments (States & Federal) are not the only ones with a short-term, myopic perspective on infrastructure projects.

Brunel is rolling in his grave right now.

Thoughts anyone?

Yeah, I've thought about that. It's either Boris Island, expand Heathrow or Gatwick. 

Personally I don't think London City Airport could handle an extra couple of runways, any comments. 

It's narrowmindedness to the max. Oh, plus politics. 

I hear Boris is quitting his London duties and is aiming at a seat in Parliament .

Yeah I've got my Boris 2015 and Hillary 2016 T-shirts made ;)

Such as shame we haven't got such socially and economically progressive talent (who are not indebted to the union movement) in this country....*sigh*
