Looking at the current Qantas sale that ends tonight regarding double points, thinking of purchasing 2 J seats to YVR for next June. I am cautious as QF may end up going direct but also that the rate of $7k each with double points is a good deal.
Any thoughts on buy now or wait?

I'd purchase the flights via LAX now and enjoy the double points at J class rates. Even if QF do go daily to Vancouver, I doubt they'd start in the Canadian summer when the ski resorts are closed.

QF will offer you the alternative to transfer to the direct flight if they offer it, as they did with passengers with the direct services in January.
