Hi Trevor,
I recently reacehd 2,400 SC and i received an email from Qantas within a few hours as well as a Notification on the Account Summary page when logging into qantas.com, if you login to qantas.com and go to your account preferences it will let you choose which reward you would like.

You'll hear from Qantas pretty quickly. And also see your account o the QF site for award details.
